When decorating an antic bedroom, it’s important to work with the shape of the area to ensure you maximise space. First off, logistics: place the bed close to the window to enjoy plenty of natural light, and be sure not to clutter the area where the wall meets the floor, as it can make it look unnecessarily busy.

Now for the fun part, decorating! We love the thick, plaited yellow throw flung across the bed for a contemporary splash of colour – a perfect pairing to the elegant marble duvet print and geometric pillows, too. Next, tie the black metal furniture together with an out-there fluffy poof, great for collapsing in with a good book or some headphones and music. We’re also loving the waxy green house plants as another interesting break from the black, grey and white colour scheme – just remember to also keep it near to natural light so it grows healthy and happy. All-in-all, if you don’t go for this bedroom, we sure will.
