Tyler's work focuses on themes of escapism, dislocation, and identity. She is interested in associating the foreign with the familiar, in the way dreams weave together subconscious memories, impressions, and symbols. For Tyler, collage is a serendipitous process of discovery and a way of questioning how we view and identify the world around us.
