Ms Celie's Pants scent is inspired by the main character's transformation to freedom and independence. The pants symbolize how Celie went from a woman oppressed by patriarchy to a woman liberated and free.

This scent offers a unique take on a lavender to honor the name of the book, marrying this timeless floral with more masculine notes of cypress, cedar, and amber. It is a fresh, woodsy fragrance with an intriguing nautical edge. The Color Purple was first published in 1982 and the following year won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction, making Alice Walker the first black woman to win the prize. Though The Color Purple has garnered literary acclaim, the book has also been the subject of controversy making the list from the years 1990 through 2019 as The American Library Association's top hundred banned and challenged books in the United States.

Celie breaks free from the mold and not only begins wearing pants but makes them unique to the men and women that wear them. Her pants making business became so successful that soon, her change began to inspire others around her.
