Mary Catherine Romaguera Minvielle is a vibrant New Orleans-based artist who beautifully captures the essence of Southern living through her dynamic paintings. Influenced by her local upbringing, she infuses her art with youthful energy, employing a striking interplay of colors and expressive subjects. Working primarily with acrylic on canvas and watercolor, Mary Catherine displays her versatility and finesse.

Mary Catherine's artistic journey began with watercolor lessons from her grandmother and renowned New Orleans artist Lee P. Romaguera at the tender age of four. She further honed her skills in oil painting while also pursuing formal education in interior design and architecture at the Savannah College of Art and Design and Louisiana State University. Despite facing personal challenges due to the BRCA 2 Gene, Mary Catherine's resilience shone through as she focused on her recovery, obtaining her real estate license and completing her interior design degree. Now, she is joyfully returning to her true passion, rediscovering the artistry that brings her fulfillment.
