Albrecht Dürer

This book was published by Prestel in association with the Albertina Museum in Vienna where this landmark Albrecht Dürer show has just finished its run, and was by all accounts, a particularly memorable and stunning show.

One of Dürer's great acknowledged talents was his draftsmanship an this skill is striking evident in the plates in this book. The book also goes into his drawing, painting and prints. The texts in the book, all in English, are by Christof Metzger & Julia Zaunbauer who are both on the curatorial team at the Albertina and the foreword is by Klaus Albrecht Schröder, the museum director.

It is a big, handsome, publication that allows that incredible work of Dürer to be appreciated.
