The design of the decoration on this small bowl is from the same family as that on the Karuma tall mug and short coffee cup. The pattern is incised and then decorated with the blue glaze which has variations in tone from piece to piece.
Described by Nkuku themselves as a nibble bowl . . . it would also suit a dollop of sharp lime pickle to be placed on the table alongside a good curry or some really dark chocolate squares.
