The Alera Side Table from Nkuku is handmade by artisans in India using sustainable mango wood and goat leather. The leather is a by-product from local herdsmen and is hand dyed using vegetable extract and tree bark. The leather will colour with enrich further as it ages. The mango wood is a sustainable wood as once the mango trees stop producing fruit they are cut down and new trees are planted. The wood is then used to make furniture ensuring the fruit growers additional income.

The side table is a versatile piece of furniture that is both stylish and functional. The rich tones of the leather complement the calming natural grains of the wood and stylishly form a space for magazines and literature. The solid framework is crafted from iron.
