Through a series of puzzles and challenges this book encourages the reader to think about graphic design and typography and how they work and are put together. The book includes stickers, die cut templates and coloured paper which are in the main held in the middle of the book but can be removed by removing the blue elastic trim which holds them in place. "Being interested in graphic design means looking at and understanding the world around us. It also means being aware of the multitude signs that shape our daily life day after day and freight it with meaning - whether it's a stop sign, a cornflakes packet, a psychedelic album cover . . . or the credits of a sci-fi film." The book is divided into four sections: typography, posters, signs and identity. One of the tasks in the typography section is to place the correct dot sticker on top of 6 'i's - thus making the reader decide which of 6 seemingly similar dots comes from which type face family. It is a book that could suit anyone interested in graphic design; from industry professionals to school students. The book was originally conceived for the Chaumont International Poster and Graphic Design Festival in 2015 and is the project of Sophie Cure, a French graphic designer and Aurélian Farina, a French-Swiss graphic designer.
