Hurricane Glass with Etched Laurel Leaf Design - Medium
These hurricane glasses are intended to house a pillar candle and via the protection of the glass to prevent the flame from blowing out on the candle. They could however be used for all manner of things; they could be a vase or they could also be an open topped storage container for all manner of things.
The etched design on the glass is made up of a ring of laurel leaves at both the top and the bottom of the glass (that are etched so that they orientate in different ways around the glass. Between these foliate wreaths there are vertical etched stripes.
As well as this medium sized glass we also have it's smaller relative.
