Postcard from the Past - Tom Jackson

Postcard from the Past is a Twitter account that thoroughly deserves a physical book form readership. It is the natural successor to the Boring Postcards that Martin Parr collected and collated in his book.

Postcards from the Past contains vintage postcards with a line or two from the reverse of the sent postcard lifted from it and given in isolation against the image. This renders the images and text somehow poignant, sad and funny at the same time.

One bears a Ludlow post mark, is a picture of a sandy beach and the text reads "Sorry I have not written before but I am terribly lazy."

The book bears an introduction by Mark Haddon who notes that "This book is not quite visual art and it's not quite social history. It's a collection of very short and very cryptic stories set in that drowned Atlantis of the sixties and seventies."

I placed order on 15/01 and finally received the correct item on 4/02. No correspondence from vendor - even though they initially sent the incorrect item. Which I still have and do not know how/where to return. Why should I have to chase and follow up to complete the transaction? I paid my money in good faith, to buy beautiful items, not to find more stress.. Painful
