It is tempting to dismiss all of the purported Clean Eating books in the same broad sweep of the hand but amongst the crop of such books this one stands out as having great vegetable recipes.

There are recipes here that look positively decadent as well as those that look plain old delicious even though you may have the niggling idea in the back of your mind that they might be good for you.

The book is set out chronologically throughout the year's seasons; from chocolate and blood orange freezer cake at the start of the year through Spring chickpea stew with salted lemons finishing with plum, sloe gin and hazelnut cobbler arrived at via a summer recipe for Rigatoni with aubergines and tomatoes.
