Venezian Glass Candle Holder - Design No. 1.
These candlesticks from the Day range by Birger and Mikkelsen Home come in two different variations, each a different height and design but made from the same soft pink coloured glass. They have called the range Venezian and they certainly owe something to the longstanding tradition of glass craftsmanship that has taken place in Venice and the surrounding islands and which continues to this day.
This version of the candlestick is the larger of the two and the shape is more complicated than the shorter one. They look great in isolation but also in a pair of the same kind or a mix of both styles. The pink colour is not at all strident but will sit comfortably in all manner of interiors and on all kinds of surfaces.
