The Bee’s unique and beautiful shape designed by us at Brass bee features a beautiful finish, detailed wings and of course our famous shiny stripes running across the body. The wings and body of the bee are attached to the heart, whilst the heart shaped striking plate is separate and attached to the door so the bee can knock on the plate and create the perfect knock. The top of the heart is screwed from the inside of the door into the screw hole on the top hinge. The second screw is for the heart striking plate and is screwed from the inside of the door into the striking plate which sits just under the bottom of the bee’s body. . How to care for your heart bee door knocker Your door knocker should just be washed with warm soapy water. Always avoid using abrasive materials which could scratch the surface of your bee.
