Whippet Wonderland Advent Calendar by Angela Harding
This is the much awaited 2024 advent calendar by Angela Harding. As you may be aware, every yuear Angela designs a new calendar for Art Angels, this year's one is called Whippet Wonderland.
Whippets seem to have become the dog of choice for a raft of stylish interior designers (Libby Lord . . . I see you!). Their lithe form and fine features being instantly recognisable. Angela has harnessed that shape to have two of them bouicing over her wintry landscape.
While the whippets leap in the foreground the couple in the background walk a shaggier looking hound.
The advent calendar is self supporting via two cardboard wings that fold out from the body of the calendar, these wings have scored lines which means that they naturally fold in certain configurations. Alongside the calendar is a free standing robin, which again is self supporting and could be placed anywhere around the calendar.
The doors/windows are all on the main background section and while there is some debate as to whether an advent calendar should have 24 or 25 doors, Art Angels plump for the extra day!
Comes with its own envelope so that you can send it on.
Measurements:
The back section measures 29.5cm tall x 38.5cm wide. How you configure the wing sections in the front will affect how deep the calendar is from front to back once assembled.
