How to pair Canvas with Wall Art Print

The most important thing to remember here is that even though canvas and wall art prints are different, you should definitely not hold back from pairing the two together. To give your living room, kitchen or bedroom an interesting spruce up, mix the different textures of canvas and art prints for a delightful sight.

Whether you go for two or three (or more!), don’t be afraid to really mix and match sizes and colours. We personally recommend Kubista’s striking dark blue sky print with a flock of birds flying on it paired with Pixy Paper’s baby pink stroke with gold spots art print. But we also think that Nat Coalson’s sunset wall art print of Manarola with Rosi Feist’s lemon cut out canvas is the closest thing you can get to a mini Italian getaway.

A general rule here is to match colours, themes or styles. So if you want a floral get up then match a range of lilies, roses and tulips, or if you like pastels then get a variety of ‘em.

How to hang your Canvas?

Ok, so you’ve done the hard part. You’ve chosen the perfect Canvas print to hang on your living room walls – score! Now, how to actually do the hanging. Whilst some of you may think this the hard part, you actually couldn’t be further from the truth. For an easy peasy DIY job, grab yourself a hammer and some nails (available at any local hardware store), mark the wall where you want to hang it, get the nails and repeat after us knock, knock, knock.

We know, we know – this is generation rent we’re talking to, and you can’t just go round sticking holes in all your walls. Firstly, before you jump to this conclusion, check with your landlord or lady and see what their policy is. After all, everyone is different!

If holey walls is a big no-no then no probs! There are two simple solutions. Either go ahead and fill them with some polycell multi-purpose polyfilla ready mix when your tenancy ends, o,r if you can’t stomach the idea of holes in your wall full stop, then velcro strips is a great alternative. Velcro strips work just like velcro strapped shoes – there’s a sticky bit and a furry bit which stick together. Line your canvas with a one side and you wall with the other and just slap ‘em together!
